Description
Presented in an antique "Antique Bullée" bottle, sealed with wax and inserted in a wooden case, this Cognac is made from grapes grown on the prestigious Grande Champagne terroir. Bottled at 41% alcohol, it is a blend of eaux-de-vie aged for some twenty years in French Limousin oak barrels. The overall effect is one of admirable finesse. Arboring a lovely amber color, its bouquet is exceptional in its freshness and elegance. Floral notes of jasmine mingle with musky and citrus scents. Elegant notes of cedarwood and nutmeg are accompanied by a delicate freshness of bergamot. A light rancio and a few touches of fig, apricot Sec and tobacco also make their appearance in a nose marvelous for its finesse and complexity. The rich, unctuous palate opens with discreet notes of citrus, orange-peel marmalade. This is followed by generous aromas of stewed yellow fruit and poached pear. Notes of peach, melon and apricot Sec make for a lively, very fruity whole, finishing with luscious notes of honey, caramel and vanilla. The long, elegant finish is sprinkled with oriental spices, in an exceptional mellowness that exalts the terroir of Grande Champagne.
