Limited to just 1000 bottles, Cuvée Experience 01 is a compendium of history, know-how and flavors. Preserved for more than three generations in the 12th-century crypt, the eaux-de-vie have aged in 2 Limousin oak barrels, and come from the family's finest Réserves of Grande Champagne. Tasting this elixir is like going back in time: Abel and Guy Tesseron, heads and hearts at the helm, and all those officiants who worked on the future ecstasy. The big bottle is just a long wait to invent Rare. Presented in a new, custom-made Brut oak box, the decanter is made of chiselled glass, each one numbered. On the nose, it reveals a rich, fruity aroma balanced by great finesse, punctuated by notes of candied fruit and mocha, and sublimated by a pronounced rancio, characteristic of long decades of oak barrel ageing. On the palate, the structure is suave, smooth and unctuous, with warm, lascivious flavors. A beverage of connivance with a long finish, enhanced here and there by spicy touches. A tasting experience that demonstrates the singular place of the Tesseron family in the great history of Cognac.
