Château d'Issan 2008 - Margaux

Description

3ème Grand Cru Classé en 1855. The wine is a sparkling ruby-red color with slight orange highlights. The first nose is very elegant and fine. Fruity scents of morello cherry, raspberry and plum intertwine. Discreet hints of vanilla, from the ageing process, appear in the aromatic background. On the palate, the wine is very airy. The delicate, silky attack evolves with tight, yet well-coated tannins. The aromatic balance is between greedy fruit and light oak, which continues to carry us through the finish for long Secondes.
